Compliance Officer

Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact with the VFSC and other relevant authorities
- Monitor, assess, and ensure compliance with: Financial Dealers Licensing Act (CAP 70), Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act (AML/CTF), Market Practice & Code of Conduct
- Develop, implement, and update internal compliance manuals, policies, and procedures. Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and internal audits
- Ensure that client onboarding and KYC processes meet local and international AML/CFT standards
- Oversee the segregation of client funds and regulatory capital adequacy compliance
- Prepare and submit required reports to the VFSC (e.g., AML/CFT compliance report, complaints register, client funds report)
- Conduct training for employees on compliance-related topics
- Support the executive management with compliance and regulatory interpretations
- Liaise with legal counsel, auditors, and regulators as required
Requirements
- Expert knowledge of the Financial Dealers Licensing Act (CAP 70), Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act (AML/CTF), Market Practice & Code of Conduct issued under Section 19A of the Act, and sector-specific laws
- Proven experience (min. 2–3 years) in Compliance, AML, or Regulatory Affairs in a financial institution, ideally in Financial Dealer
- Strong risk-assessment, investigative and problem-solving capability
- Excellent skills in document and process formation
